SAS Global Forum 2013, San Francisco, California, April 28 - May 1, 2013

Welcome to the Call for Papers and Participation Web Application

There are a few simple steps in the paper process for SAS Global Forum. This page provides the details for submitting your paper. However, prior to submitting your paper, you are encouraged to:

  1. Review How to Submit a Paper... and other relevant questions to understand the paper process
  2. Review this page to ensure you have the details necessary to completely and quickly submit your paper
  3. Consider using Firefox for your interactions with the Call for Papers site. If you are using a different browser and experience difficulties, please contact SAS Global Forum to make other arrangements for submitting your abstract.

The author's personal information and the abstract information are separated into two entries: 1) a profile, for the author's personal information, and 2) a paper submission, for the abstract. This allows you to add your papers without having to re-enter your personal information.

Before you begin filling out the forms, please gather the following information:

  • Paper title (maximum 25 words, limit 200 characters).
  • Abstract (between 25 and 125 words, limit 2000 characters).
  • A working draft or detailed outline.
  • Demographic information for all authors*.
  • Biographies for all authors* (limit 2000 characters each).
  • First and second paper section choices.

You are required to submit a working draft or detailed outline. You may do so now or at any time before Nov. 19, 2012 by simply editing your submission. However, papers without a working draft or outline at the close of the Call for Papers will not be considered.

Please note that all poster submissions require an accompanying abstract and detailed outline. If your poster is selected, a completed paper is not necessary.

To submit your paper

Step1. Access the Call for Papers Site

Access the Call for papers site at c4p.sas2013.alliancetech.com

Step 2. Create an Account

This year we are utilizing a new Call For Papers system. Therefore, for this year, everyone is required to create an account, which creates a new profile. For subsequent years, we will carry over your profile information. To create your profile, you must supply a login ID, which is a valid email address, and a password, which is case sensitive.

On the Welcome page, select “Create Account”. The account creation screen displays.

Step 3. Sign In

If you forget your Sign In information you may use the Password Lookup, which is accessible from the Sign In box.

Step 4. Submit your paper(s)

The paper submission form collects all the information to submit your paper.

Please write and check the spelling of your abstract, working draft and bios in a word processor before entering them into this application.

This application allows you to enter all data in lowercase letters, so please be sure to begin every word that needs to be capitalized with a capital letter.

It is not necessary to enter trademark references for SAS solutions in your submission. The submissions will be edited and trademarks will be properly acknowledged when the abstracts are published.

*Information on each author/volunteer is entered only once and retained from year to year. Therefore, you may get a message that an author profile already exists, and the system will not let you enter the author again. Take the opportunity to update those profiles through the Edit Profile function. You may specify the order of authors on papers with multiple authors – simply select the names, and use the up or down arrows to move names to the desired order.

If you have a question, please contact SAS Global Forum.
