We've moved from the Information Age to the Attention Age, marked by the
opportunity to create and consume information instantly via the Web using
social media tools. This new section focuses on how we, as SASŪ professionals,
can take advantage of that information.
The section has two distinct focuses:
Social Media Analysis: These presentation topics range from the
new SAS Social Media Analytics package to homegrown tools that use SAS to send
information to or analyze data from Twitter, Facebook and other social media
Using Social Media to Learn About SAS: From Dave Thomas' keynote
address, "Social Media: What SAS Pros Need to Know," to a panel discussion of
sasCommunity.org, there are a number of opportunities to see how social media
channels can be used to further your career as a SAS professional.
