MEMO UPDATE: FROM THE SAS GLOBAL USERS GROUP EXECUTIVE BOARD

The SAS Global Users Group Executive Board is committed to providing a conference for each user that provides the most value for each dollar paid. Unfortunately, this year we were forced to raise rates again. It is important for you to know we spent a lot of time analyzing every dollar in the budget to ensure responsible use of your registration dollars before making the decision to increase registration fees. In order to continue to provide the positive conference experience that SAS Global Forum attendees have come to expect, the inevitable conclusion was that rates must be raised to keep pace with the costs of putting on a quality conference. Fortunately, this year we were able to keep the increases to a minimum. We also reshaped the registration to offer three packages to offer either basic registration or two options that bundle registration, meals, and seminars at a discount. We hope that these packages assist you with attendance approval and budgeting.

Registration fees include admission to all conference events unless otherwise noted.

Academic — To be eligible for the academic fee, you must be employed by a degree-granting institution, college or university.

Student — To be eligible for the student fee, you must fax a copy of a valid student identification card to 919.677.7844. Your registration will not be processed until proof of student status is received.

Guests

All guests must have a badge in order to attend the Opening Session and conference mixers on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights. Guest registration includes a badge for these events, drink tickets for the mixers and souvenirs. Guests cannot attend any paper presentations or enter the SAS Demo Area (except during the Monday evening mixer). Guests must be registered to purchase a meal ticket.

Children

Children 12 and under may attend as a guest for free when they are accompanied by an adult conference attendee. Children must register and wear their badges to attend the mixers and enjoy breakfasts and breaks. This child guest registration does not include the conference souvenir bag or extra-fee events. Child registrants who wish to attend extra-fee events must purchase a ticket. (Note: Parents with babies attending extra-fee events are not required to purchase a ticket for their infants.)
