SASŪ Global Form 2008 is a wrap! Over 3,700 people are back at work filled with new ideas for using SAS and best practices to implement. Hundreds of papers were presented and thousands of interactions occurred between SAS employees, customers and partners.
SAS Global Forum 2008 attracted attendees from all across the globe, with a record 48 countries represented at the conference. More than 3,700 attendees came to San Antonio, and of those, more than 22 percent came from outside the United States. Canada came in at the No. 1 position, with 5 percent of all non-U.S. participants. The Netherlands, Sweden and Denmark were close behind.
A rich variety of industries were represented, including pharmaceuticals and healthcare, banking, education, insurance and government. More than 400 presentations were given at SAS Global Forum including: 12 pre-conference seminars and statistical tutorials; 43 Coders' Corner sessions; 13 Hands-on Workshops; 37 Tutorials; 44 presentations in six industry segments; 67 papers and presentations from international presenters. In the Demo Room, there were 111 stations, 34 SuperDemos and 25 posters.
SAS Global Forum 2009 will be held March 22 - 25, 2009, at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. Lori Griffin of Quintiles will be the conference chair.
