What's New Highlights
SAS/STAT software provides comprehensive tools for data analysis that meet the needs of an entire organization. It provides extensive statistical capabilities that enable you to evaluate data from a variety of sources, including clinical trials, marketing databases, health surveys, customer preference studies, stock market research, and many more.
Highlights of Release 8.2 include a second experimental release of software for multiple imputation and a strategy for dealing with missing data that ensures statistical validity of resulting analyses. Also, this release introduces the production version of the GAM procedure, which fits generalized additive models.
Enhancements to existing procedures include a more comprehensive modeling facility for the LIFEREG and PROBIT procedures, as well as additional plotting capabilities in both procedures. Also, PROC TRANSREG now includes a Box-Cox transformation of the dependent variable, the LOGISTIC procedure now supports the generalized logits model, and the new RATIO statement in PROC SURVEYMEANS enables you to perform ratio analysis for means or proportions of the analysis variables.
