What's New Highlights
SAS Information Delivery Portal is a new product that is available with Release 8.2. This product provides the following features along with the world-class business intelligence capabilities of SAS.
- Publish from either "back office" (batch/scheduled processes, such as the warehouse) and "interactive" (Enterprise Guide, conventional SAS client) environments, plus any open-client (utilizing IOM from custom Visual Basic and Java applications) to predefined channels.
- Centralized secure Web access to warehouse metadata and both standard and OLAP warehouse reporting.
- Application and content user-based security.
- Support for enterprise directory standards (LDAP) for deployment metadata storage with integrated authentication and authorization.
- Web-based publish and subscribe capabilities for SAS content and external content.
