SAS OLAP Server, Release 8.2
What's New Highlights
The SAS OLAP Server software bundle, introduced with Release 8.1, uses SAS technology to enable online analytical processing -- offering high-performance access to large amounts of summarized data for complex multidimensional analysis and easy reporting.
With Release 8.2, the OLAP Server is now available for the Windows NT and UNIX environments, in addition to the previously supported OS/390 environment. You can now use the SAS OLAP Server in these operating environments to create multidimensional databases, register OLAP metadata, define and register HOLAP data groups, create user access control definitions, customize statistic labels, and use model coordination to synchronize multiple viewers.
Release 8.2 also includes an experimental wizard user interface that guides you through the process of building and registering a multidimensional database in a repository.
