What's New Highlights
SAS Integration Technologies software was introduced into the SAS product line with Version 8. It provides a foundation for standardized communications and effective information distribution. SAS Integration Technologies gives you, the application developer or enterprise application architect, the tools to seamlessly integrate SAS applications with other enterprise applications and systems. It makes integration possible by supporting industry standards and leveraging emerging technologies.
Because SAS Integration Technologies bridges the gap between industry standards, emerging technologies, and SAS software, you can expect changes and enhancements with every release. Release 8.2 provides additional support for industry standards and third-party software, such as Version 3 LDAP servers, a new WebDAV delivery type for publishing to WebDAV-compliant servers, and production support for Geneva Message Queuing and TIBCO TIB/Rendezvous messaging software. Release 8.2 also includes improved workspace pooling for both Windows and Java clients.
Enhancements to the publishing framework include the ability to archive packages to remote file systems, to publish via e-mail to an address list, and to deliver your e-mail content with HTML formatting applied.
