What's New Highlights
SAS/EIS software is a menu-driven system for developing, running and maintaining enterprise information systems. The software provides ready-to-use application components that help speed the application development process.
SAS/EIS Release 8.1 contained new features, fixes to old known problems and many functionality enhancements such as the addition of the Access Control security subsystem, support for the Multidimensional Data Provider for combining relational and multidimensional data (HOLAP) and viewer support for the Nunique (unique count) statistic.
In addition, Release 8.2 adds:
- Performance improvements for running information systems.
- Customization of statistical labels through a graphical user interface.
- The ability to register run-time calculations to be shared among multiple applications.
- Support for unformatted sorts.
- The ability to apply formats to a run-time calculated value.
An experimental wizard interface for quickly creating multidimensional databases is also provided with this release.
