SAS Data Quality - Cleanse is a new product that is available with Release 8.2. This product is the first offering from SAS that is dedicated exclusively to improving the quality of your existing data. Using SAS Data Quality - Cleanse, you can ensure that your data is accurate, reliable, and consistent. Features include
- standardizing data representation
- You can build standardization schemes that identify and change multiple representations of a data value to the representation that you prefer. For example, you may build a scheme for state names that ensures that all addresses in your customer database use the approved two-character abbreviation.
- eliminating redundancy
- You can analyze the data in a SAS data set to identify observations that contain similar data. SAS Data Quality - Cleanse enables you to specify the criteria that are used for matching and eradicating redundant observations.
