Overview

SAS Visual Analytics has been tested with assistive technology tools. It includes accessibility and compatibility features that improve the usability of the product for users with disabilities, with exceptions noted below. These features are related to accessibility standards for electronic information technology that were adopted by the U.S. Government under Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (2008 draft proposal initiative update). Applications are also tested against Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, part of the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the Worldwide Web Consortium (W3C). User Interface Layout

SAS Mobile BI for iPad contains the following interfaces:

• My Portfolio contains two main sections:
  
  
  • The top of the portfolio contains the application bar. The application bar contains the Library button that enables you to view the library of reports, the Help button that provides help and access to the tutorial videos, and the Edit button to use for removing reports from the portfolio.
    
    
  • The center of the portfolio contains the workspace, where you can open and view reports that you have subscribed to from the library. Each report is a tile in the workspace. Each tile contains the report title and the date on which the report was last modified. If the report is new or updated, the tile includes a banner stating New or Updated. Each tile also contains an Information button. The button opens a window that displays the report properties.

  The Portfolio also provides a Search and Sort pane. VoiceOver users can display this pane by using the three-finger swipe-down gesture.

• The Library enables you to subscribe to reports that are available on servers that you can access. The Library contains four main sections:
  
  
  • The top of the Library contains the application bar. The application bar contains a My Portfolio button that enables you to return to your portfolio of reports, the Download icon that indicates if reports are downloading to your portfolio, and the Connections button to use when adding, editing, or removing connections to servers that host reports for your organization.
    
    
  • Below the application bar is the server banner. It indicates the user ID that you used to log on to the server.
    
    
  • Below the banner is the navigation bar. It displays the path of the directory that you navigate when locating reports. The navigation bar also includes the switch that you can flick to change from the Folders view of the server contents to the Curated view. The Curated view displays your favorite reports and the reports that you have viewed recently.
    
    
  • The center of the window (the work area) displays the Folders view of the server contents or the Curated view.
    
    
• The report viewer enables you to view reports. The report contains two main sections:
  
  
  • The top of the report contains the application bar. The application bar contains the Close button that closes the report and returns to the portfolio, the Filter icon that indicates whether the report data is filtered, the Contents button that displays the sections in the report, and the Actions menu, which provides access to the report properties, refresh status, the commenting feature, the annotation feature, the share report feature, and help for using reports.
    
    
  • The center of the window contains the workspace. The workspace displays the report that was designed by using SAS Visual Analytics. A report can contain one or more sections. Each section can contain one or more report objects.

To customize SAS Mobile BI and its features, open the iPad Settings app and tap General. In the General pane, tap Accessibility. SAS Mobile BI accommodates most accessibility settings provided by iOS.
