Saving to a Server Data Set

IML Studio enables you to save data to a SAS data set stored on a SAS Workspace Server.

Note: IML Studio does not currently support saving data to an interface SAS data file because of a limitation in the SAS Workspace Server. Also, IML Studio cannot save data to DATA step or PROC SQL views because SAS views are always read-only.

To save a data table to a data set stored on a SAS server

1. Make sure the correct data table window is active.
2. On the File menu, click Save As Server Data Set.

   IML Studio will display the Save As Server Data Set dialog box.

3. In the control SAS Workspace Servers, navigate to the appropriate server and select the library in which you want to save the data set.
4. In the Data set name box, type the name for the new data set.
5. Click OK.

Once you save a data table to a server, you can save the data table to the server again by clicking the Save button () on the toolbar.
