Scatter Plot Curves

Scatter plots can fit a parametric or non-parametric curve to observations. The supported fitting algorithms are:

• Polynomial estimators determined by least-squares regression
• Kernel estimators with manual or automatic selection of bandwidth

You can display the Fit Curves dialog box by clicking Fit Curves on the pop-up menu for the Plot Area of the Scatter Plot. Each estimation algorithm is controlled through a tab within the Fit Curves dialog box.
