IML Studio assigns three properties to each MDI window. These properties are as follows:
A window with its Auto Position property turned on will automatically be positioned within the main IML Studio window according to the Auto Position scheme for that type of window.
A window with its Auto Hide property turned on will automatically be hidden from view if it is associated with a workspace other than the active workspace. If the window is not associated with any workspaces, it will always be visible.
The Auto Hide property cannot be turned off for error log windows. Error log windows always operate in Auto Hide mode.
The Auto Close property is specific to LISTING output document windows.
A LISTING output document window with its Auto Close property turned on will be closed automatically when the last workspace to which it is attached is closed. The window will also be closed automatically if it is detached from the last workspace to which it was attached.
When a new window is created, IML Studio initializes the properties for the window using default settings. You can change the default settings that IML Studio uses or you can change a specific window's properties.
To change the default settings of the MDI window properties
IML Studio will display the Options dialog box.
