- Choosing this item includes the selected observations in plots. Observations included in plots are not only displayed, but their values are used to compute aspects of the plots (for example,
to determine the mean in a box plot).
- Exclude from Plots
- Choosing this item excludes the selected observations from plots.
- Include in Analyses
- Choosing this item includes the selected observations in statistical analyses.
- Exclude from Analyses

- Marker Properties
- Choosing this item displays a dialog box that you can use to change the color and shape of observation markers.
- Label by Observation Number
- Choosing this item displays the observation number in the left-most column of the data table. The observation number is also set as the default label that is displayed when you click
an observation marker in a graph.
- Label by Variable
- Choosing this item displays a dialog box. If you choose a variable name from the variable list and then click OK, the values of that variable are set to label the rows of observations.
If, in addition, you set the Hide label variable check box, the column corresponding to that variable is hidden in the data table.
- Invert Selection
- Choosing this item changes the set of selected observations. Unselected observations become selected, while selected observations become unselected.
- Delete
- Choosing this item deletes all selected observations.
- Examine Selected Observations
- Choosing this item displays a dialog box. You can use this dialog box to view and compare the selected observations.
