Realtime Service Node

You can add a Realtime Service node to a data job to access a real-time service on a DataFlux Data Management Server from your DataFlux Data Management Studio job. Once you have added the node, you can double-click it to open its properties dialog. The properties dialog includes the following elements:.

Name - Specifies a name for the node.

Notes - Enables you to open the Notes dialog. You use the dialog to enter optional details or any other relevant information for the input.

Server - Enables you to enter the server name used for the Realtime Service.

Port - Enables you to enter the port number for the Realtime Service step.

Timeout - Enables you to enter the number of seconds until the step should time-out.

This server requires a username and password - When selected, prompts you to authenticate to the server with a user name and a password. Use the Username and Password fields for this authentication.

Job Name - Enables you to locate the job name for the Realtime Service. Click Browse to access the list of jobs.

The Fields table displays the field name for the input data, which is populated from an earlier data input node in your job. The table also displays the output name, which is the field name that will appear in your output data going into the service.
