DataFlux Data Management Studio 2.6: User Guide

Data Job (reference) Node

You can add a Data Job (reference) node to the flow in a data job or process job. Data is passed from the parent job to the referenced data job. The data is then returned to the flow in the parent job. The referenced data job must have an External Data Provider node as the input. You can reference more than one data job by using multiple Data Job (reference) nodes.

After you have added the node, you can double-click it to open its properties dialog. The properties dialog includes the following elements:

Name - Specifies a name for the node.

Notes - Enables you to open the Notes dialog. You use the dialog to enter optional details or any other relevant information for the input.

The Match fields table enables you to specify the fields with data you want to pass to the external job. After you select the file to embed, close and reopen the node properties dialog. The fields shown on the left are the expected inputs and outputs from the External Data Provider job. Map the fields in your current job to the ones specified here. Click the up and down arrows to change the order of the selected fields.

Additional Outputs - Displays the Additional Outputs dialog. This dialog enables you to specify the fields that you can make available to the next node in your data job.

You can access the following advanced properties by right-clicking the Data Job (reference) node:
