DataFlux Data Management Studio 2.6: User Guide

Match Codes Node

You can add a Match Codes node to a data job to specify the duplicate records identified with your match criteria. Once you have added the node, you can double-click it to open its properties dialog. The properties dialog includes the following elements:

Name - Specifies a name for the node.

Notes - Enables you to open the Notes dialog. You use the dialog to enter optional details or any other relevant information for the input.

Locale - Specifies the locale within your Quality Knowledge Base (QKB) used for the matching process.

The Match code fields section of the dialog includes the following elements:

Available - Displays the fields that you can make available for the next step in your data job. Items displayed in this list are dependent on your data sources and any preceding steps in your data job.

Selected - Displays the fields that will be made available to the next node in your data job. You can use the drop-down menu in the Sensitivity column to set the sensitivity for each field. You can also enter a definition and edit the output name for each field in the columns supplied for those purposes.

Note that you can use the drop-down menu in the Definition column to specify a match definition for the field in the selected row. This match definition is supplied from the current QKB. If you specify the Exact value in the drop-down menu, however, a matchcode definition from the QKB is not supplied. Instead, a matchcode that is an exact representation of the input string is generated.

Additional Outputs -Displays the Additional Outputs dialog. This dialog enables you to specify the fields that you can make available to the next node in your data job.

Generate null match codes for null or blank field values - When selected, creates match codes for null or blank input field values. Disable the box to cause all null or blank field values to return a match code representation of blank.

Preserve null values - When selected, specifies that null values in the data source are preserved.

You can access the following advanced properties by right-clicking the Match Codes node:
