DataFlux Data Management Studio 2.6: User Guide

Overview of Data Monitoring

You can create DataFlux Data Management Studio jobs that enable you to monitor data quality. For example, you can create a business rule that tracks the profit per employee against assets over time. Then you can use the business rule in a job as described in Creating a Data Monitoring Job or Using the Execute Business Rule Node. When you run the job, you generate a list of triggered events from the business rules. You can view these triggered events in DataFlux Data Management Studio, as described in Using the Summary Tab and Dashboard Tabs and Using the Monitor Viewer.

If your site has licensed DataFlux DataFlux Web Studio, then you can use the Dashboard Viewer and Monitor Viewer to see the list of triggered events from the data monitoring jobs. These web interfaces are similar to the Monitor Viewer and Dashboard tab in Data Management Studio, but the web interfaces are available to those who do not have access to Data Management Studio.
