DataFlux Data Management Studio 2.6: User Guide

Execute Business Rule Node

You can use the Execute Business Rule node to select an existing, row-based business rule and apply it to rows of data as they flow through a data job. This node bypasses the need to associate business rules to tasks and associate events to triggered rows. For an example job that uses this node, see Using the Execute Business Rule Node.

Name - specifies the name of the node in the current job. Use any name that helps you understand the role of this node in the current job.

Rule - enables you to select a previously defined business rule. The rule must be a row-based rule that is stored in the same repository as the current data job.

Rule Field - lists the fields that have been defined in the selected rule. These fields in the rule are aliases that must be mapped to fields in the input table.

Field Name - maps fields in the input table to fields that have been defined in the selected rule.

Return Status Field - when selected, the specified status field contains the return value of the expression for the row. If this option is not checked, then any value that returns false is filtered out.
