SQL Options

The SQL tab includes the following global options that applies to all uses of the application:

The Grid section - Specifies whether you Show the grid and whether you Snap to the grid.

Show Data Sample pane - Specifies whether to display the pane. The default is selected.

The Defaults section allows you to make the following selections:

• Editor type - Specifies either visual or code editor. The default is the visual editor.
• Diagram layout - Specifies the direction of the layout. The default is Top to bottom.
• Select node - Specifies the mapping and propagation characteristics.
• Inner join node defaults - Specifies whether the joins are defined in the filter or the where clause.
• Auto-generate join filters - Specifies whether to automatically create the join filters.
• Automatically parse field names in text expressions - Specifies whether to automatically parse the expression to identify all of the columns used. This option could be used to turn off the parsing when the current parsing algorithm does not identify the columns correctly and incorrect results are returned.
