DataFlux Data Management Studio 2.5: User Guide

Creating a Profile

You can create a new profile to select one or more data sources and profile the data in those sources. You can run your profiles from within DataFlux Data Management Studio or from the command line. For information about running profiles from the command line, see Running Jobs from the Command Line.

Perform the following steps to create a profile:

  1. Click New in the Main Menu. Then, click Profile.
  2. Enter a name for the profile in the Name field.
  3. Specify a location for the profile in the Save in field.
  4. Click OK to save the new profile.

Many interfaces DataFlux Data Management Studio enable you to create profiles. For example, you can right-click a table in a data connection and select Profile.
