DataFlux Data Management Studio 2.5: User Guide
You can add a Create Scheme node to a data job to generate a custom scheme file for your enterprise. This file can be used to standardize data outside of the usual DataFlux Data Management Studio standardization definitions. Once you have added the node, you can double-click it to open its properties dialog. The properties dialog includes the following elements:
Name - Specifies a name for the node.
Notes - Enables you to open the Notes dialog. You use the dialog to enter optional details or any other relevant information for the input.
Locale - Select a locale from the drop-down list. This list is generated from the Quality Knowledge Base (QKB) installed on your system. The locale determines which definitions and schemes are available for use.
Scheme File - Enables you to enter a name to help identify the scheme. Click Browse to locate an existing file.
Data Field - Specifies the data where the standardization is applied during the data job.
Standard Field - Specifies the field that contains the standardization applied to the data when the Create Scheme node runs in the data job. Two special expressions are supported here:
Launch Scheme Builder after job is completed - When selected,
The Options section of the dialog includes the following elements:
Scheme Type: Element - When selected, applies scheme standardization anywhere the specified element of data is located.
Scheme Type: Phrase - When selected, applies the scheme standardization whenever a certain phrase is located. This option is selected by default.
Match Definition - Specifies the match definition used with standardization schemes when the scheme will apply to a group of data that will be listed under the same cluster as the data if the match definition is applied. This field is optional.
Match Sensitivity - Specifies the sensitivity used when the match definition is applied. When the sensitivity is set at 85%, the job will find more instances of the match. When the sensitivity is set to a higher value, such as 95%, the job will find fewer match instances.
Case Sensitive - When selected, the job is case sensitive and must match the case exactly.
You can access the following advanced properties by right-clicking the Create Scheme node:
