Frequency Distribution Chart Node

You can add a Frequency Distribution Chart node to a data job to create a chart that shows how selected values are distributed throughout your data. Once you have added the node, you can double-click it to open its properties dialog. The properties dialog includes the following elements:

Name - Specifies a name for the node.

Notes - Enables you to open the Notes dialog. You use the dialog to enter optional details or any other relevant information for the node.

Chart name - Enables you to enter the path and name of your chart file (for example, c:\reports\myreport.txt). You can also click Browse to navigate to the file location.

Chart title - Enables you to enter a name to display above your chart as a title.

Save chart as JPG image(s) when running in batch mode - When selected, saves the chart as a JPG image.

Image directory - Specifies a directory for the JPG image of a chart. Click Browse to navigate to the location for the JPG file.

Image file prefix - Enables you to add a prefix to the filename of the chart. For example, you can enter today's date in this field.

The Output fields section of the dialog includes the following elements:

Available - Displays the fields that you can make available for the next step in your data job. Items displayed in this list are dependent on your data sources and any preceding steps in your data job.

Selected - Displays the fields that will be made available to the next node in your data job. Make sure that both the Value Field and the Count Field columns are populated. Both columns must be specified for the Frequency Distribution Chart node to work.
