User Interface Layout

The SAS App Central interface includes several tabs that enable you to access different areas of functionality. The Home tab is available to all users, regardless of their assigned roles. Account administrators can also access the Account, Users, Environments, News, and Templates tabs.
The upper right corner displays the user name (e-mail address) of the user who is currently logged on. It also displays the Menu icon.
Here are features of the Home tab:
  • Alerts are created by SAS to inform SAS Cloud users about important upcoming events such as scheduled maintenance and the availability of new software releases.
  • The My Applications section contains icons for each SAS application that the current user can access, based on the user’s assigned roles. If the user can access multiple environments, a separate application group appears for each environment.
  • News items are created by your organization’s account administrators specifically for your users.
  • The Resources area is created and maintained by SAS. This area contains resources to help you use SAS effectively.
For more information about the user interface, see “Overview of SAS Cloud Administration” in the SAS Cloud: Account Administrator's Guide, which is available on the SAS Cloud documentation page.

Workaround
JAWS reads the main menu button on the right side of the banner as “number button” instead of “menu button.”
No workaround is available. Screen reader users can still access the menu, even though its name is read incorrectly.
When keyboard-only navigation is used in Internet Explorer or Firefox, a visual indication of focus is missing from the menu button on the right side of the banner.
No workaround is available. Keyboard-only users can still access the menu, although it is not easily discovered.
When you open the main menu, focus is not on the first menu item.
After opening the main menu, press the Tab key to focus on the first menu item.
