SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
Operating System
SAS server components of SAS/IntrNet software may be used on any
Release 6.12 installation of the SAS System for SunOS 4 or Solaris 2.
Web server and Client components of SAS/IntrNet software may be used
on SunOS 4.1.1 through SunOS 4.1.4 or SunOS 5.4 (Solaris 2.4) through
SunOS 5.5.1 (Solaris 2.5.1).
Note: All SAS/IntrNet components for SunOS 4.1.1 through
SunOS 4.1.4 are available in beta form only with limited testing.
HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
Machines Supported
SunOS 4: All SPARC machines except 4/1xx and 4/2xx.
SunOS 5: SPARCstation, SPARCserver, and SPARCcenter machines.
Media Types Supported
For installing SAS/IntrNet software: CD-ROM, Web download

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
SAS/IntrNet software consists of several components that may be
installed or used independently.
SAS Server Components
- HTML Formatting Tools
Requires Base SAS software.
- Application Server
Requires Base SAS software.
Web Server Components
- htmSQL
Requires Base SAS software, SAS/SHARE software, and SAS/IntrNet software
license (setinit) to be installed on the SAS server system.
- Application Broker
Requires Base SAS software and Application Server component of SAS/IntrNet
software to be installed on the SAS server system.
Client Components
- SAS SQL Library for C
Requires Base SAS software, SAS/SHARE software, and SAS/IntrNet software
license (setinit) to be installed on the SAS server system.
Java Tools
- SAS/SHARE*Net Driver for JDBC
Requires Base SAS software, SAS/SHARE software, and SAS/IntrNet software
license (setinit) to be installed on the SAS server system.
- JConnect
Requires Base SAS software, SAS/IntrNet Server software, and SAS/CONNECT
software to be installed on the SAS server system. SAS/SHARE software
must also be installed if data services are used.
Web Applications
- MDDB Report Viewer
Requires Base SAS software, SAS/EIS software, and Application Server
component to be installed on the SAS server system. SAS/GRAPH software
is required to create any graphic output. Requires Application Broker
component to be installed on the Web server system. SAS/MDDB Server
software is required to create the MDDB, although it is not required
on the SAS/IntrNet server system.
