What's New in SAS Text Miner 4.1

Overview

SAS Text Miner 4.1 includes the following new features and enhancements:

• Teragram integration
• Operating System Platforms
• New mechanism for automatic multi-word term processing
• Differences in text mining results from the previous version
• Languages that are not supported from the previous version

Teragram Integration

SAS Text Miner 4.1 is integrated with Teragram.

Operating System Platforms

The following Operating Systems are new: 64-bit Linux, Windows Opteron, HP Itanium.

Automatic Multi-word Term Processing

PROC DOCPARSE no longer recognizes the NOMULTI option.

Differences in Results

Teragram is the new internal parser used by Text Miner. There will be differences in your text mining results.

Unsupported Languages

The following languages are not supported for this release: Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian Bokmal, and, Swedish.
