The Input Data node is modified to provide more control over changes in variables between successive runs of a process flow diagram. This ability is important when variables are added or removed from the input data. When the input data contains new variables, you can control their treatment by automatically rejecting the new variables, or by assigning the new variables measurement levels and variable roles, according to the Basic or Advanced input data Advisor functions. When the input data contains variables that have been deleted, you can arrange to have the analysis stop immediately, or to proceed with the set of remaining variables. This new functionality also helps automate interactive and batch model training processes.
Two new choices have been added to the list of available input variable transformations. If you choose the Best transformation value, then all available transformations are attempted, and the one that has the best correlation with the target variable is used. If you choose the Multiple transformation value, then all available transformations are created for the purpose of selection by a modeling function.
The Impute node has new options that enable you to create only a missing value indicator without imputing a replacement value. This capability is useful when a variable has a very high rate of missing values, or when the status of "Missing" is used to represent a real value.
