You can use the new Customer Integration Template to associate customer Web activity with the marketing campaign that originated the activity. The new template provides out-of-the-box recognition of the data values that are passed from SAS Digital Marketing campaigns. For more information, see the "Processing Campaign Information" chapter in the SAS Data Surveyor for Clickstream Data 2.1: User's Guide.
If only a subset of the records in a session have column values, then you can now copy those values to other records in the session, such as the records at the beginning of a session. This feature enables you to ensure that each session record has significant values. For more information, see the Help for the Complete Fill and Forward Fill options on the Options tab of Clickstream Sessionize transformation.
You can now track clicks on links based the link name and other attributes, not just the file extension of the link target as was the case in previous releases. You can also track clicks on links that leave the Web site. For more information, see "Configuring Link Tracking in Tagged Pages" in the SAS Data Surveyor for Clickstream Data 2.1: User's Guide.
