Many new releases of existing SAS products
depend on the third maintenance release for SAS 9.2. When you run
the SAS Deployment Wizard to upgrade to the new product release, SAS
automatically detects any files on your system that are older than
the files in your order, and the SAS Deployment Wizard goes into update
mode. If you have not applied the third maintenance release for SAS
9.2, then this maintenance release is automatically applied. If you
have already applied the third maintenance release for SAS 9.2, the
SAS Deployment Wizard still identifies any files that need to be updated.
When you are upgrading SAS products by using the SAS Deployment Wizard,
SAS updates the products that you currently have installed at your
site. If you are installing a product and the SAS Deployment Wizard
is in update mode, then SAS installs the new or upgraded product beside
the currently installed version of the product. After the upgraded
product is configured, you can use only the new version of the product.
