When you upgrade to
SAS Enterprise Miner 6.2, the updates in the third maintenance release
for SAS 9.2 are automatically applied (if you have not previously
applied this maintenance release). If your site also licenses SAS
Text Miner, then the first maintenance release for SAS Text Miner
4.2 is automatically applied when you upgrade to SAS Enterprise Miner
6.2. For more information, see SAS Text Miner 4.2_M1.
To upgrade to SAS Enterprise
Miner 6.2, see SAS Enterprise Miner 6.2. After completing the upgrade instructions for SAS Enterprise
Miner 6.2, there are no additional post-configuration steps to complete.
If you also license SAS Text Miner, any post-configuration steps that
you need to complete are included in the upgrade instructions for
SAS Enterprise Miner.

In December 2009, SAS
Text Miner 4.2 was released. When you apply the third maintenance
release for SAS 9.2, SAS automatically updates any existing SAS Text
Miner installation to the 4.2 release. If you are currently running
SAS Text Miner 4.1, then SAS Text Miner needs to be manually configured
after you apply the third maintenance release. To manually configure
SAS Text Miner 4.2, see Post-Configuration Steps for SAS Text Miner.
If you have already
installed SAS Text Miner 4.2, then no manual configuration steps are
required after you apply the third maintenance release for SAS 9.2.
When you apply the third
maintenance release for SAS 9.2, the SAS Deployment Wizard automatically
configures your software. No manual post-configuration steps are required
for SAS Enterprise Miner.
Note: If you are upgrading to SAS
Enterprise Miner 6.2, then you do not need to apply the third maintenance
release for SAS 9.2 before upgrading to SAS Enterprise Miner 6.2.
For more information about this new release and how to upgrade at
your site, see SAS Enterprise Miner 6.2.
