About Adding New Products

After installing a maintenance release or upgrading the products at your site, you must restart the SAS Deployment Wizard a second time to install any new products. You must also update your plan (either standard or custom) to include the new products.
For more information, see “Adding SAS Products” in the SAS Intelligence Platform: Installation and Configuration Guide.

SAS BI Lineage Plug-In for SAS Management Console

The BI Lineage plug-in for SAS Management Console scans the BI objects in a selected subset of the SAS Folders tree and determines the connections between the BI objects. The scan examines reports and information maps that are stored in the selected folders and identifies other objects (regardless of their location) that connect to those reports and information maps. You can choose any object in the scan and view the lineage or the reverse lineage for the object. A lineage consists of other objects that contribute to the selected BI object. These objects could cause a change in the selected object if any of the objects change. A reverse lineage consists of other objects within the scope of the scan that use information from the selected BI object. These objects could be affected if the selected object changes. You can view a lineage or reverse lineage as a tree view or in a process flow diagram.
Because the lineage information is not generated in real time, it is important to keep the scan information updated. To make this task easier, the plug-in can generate jobs for running, exporting, or deleting BI Lineage scans. After the jobs are generated, you can use the Schedule Manager plug-in to schedule the jobs. Scheduling the job ensures that the scan information remains updated.
For more information about the BI Lineage plug-in, see the Help for SAS Management Console.
