Additional Support for Third-Party Software

When you initially configured your third-party software, these products should have met the minimum requirements that are documented on the “Third-Party Software Requirements for Use with SAS Software and Applications” website at http://support.sas.com/resources/thirdpartysupport/.
However, because third-party vendors sometimes release updates to address defects and security issues, SAS might recommend that you apply a recent upgrade or path. For example, if you are using an Oracle WebLogic Server, an IBM WebSphere Application Server, or a JBoss Application Server, you might need to apply a patch or upgrade before installing SAS 9.3.
Before installing SAS 9.3, applying a maintenance release, or upgrading to a new product release, verify that your site is using the required versions of third-party software. If you need to update the web application server or your version of Java, see “Upgrading Web Application Servers That Are Used with the SAS 9.3 Middle-Tier Configuration” at http://support.sas.com/resources/thirdpartysupport/v93/appservers/JDKJREWebAppChange.pdf.
Note: If you are running SAS 9.3 or the first maintenance release for SAS 9.3, you must apply the second maintenance release for SAS 9.3 before updating any third-party components (the JRE, the JDK, or the web application server) to Java 7.
