Managing Multiple Installations of the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office

You can have multiple releases of the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office installed on your computer. The release of the SAS add-in determines what SAS content you can access.
  • You can use the SAS Add-In 5.1 or 4.305 for Microsoft Office to access SAS 9.3 content.
  • You can use the SAS Add-In 5.1, 4.3, or 4.2 for Microsoft Office to access SAS 9.2 content.
  • You can use the SAS Add-In 2.1 for Microsoft Office to access SAS 9.1.3 content.
However, you can use only one release of the SAS add-in at a time. Using the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office Utility, you can select which release of the SAS add-in to enable for selected Microsoft Office applications. (Always use the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office Utility that is included with the latest release of the SAS add-in.)
Note: You must have administrator privileges to use the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office Utility.
