About SAS Web Report Studio |
In SAS 9.2, there have been two releases of SAS Web Report Studio. The release that you are upgrading to depends on when you placed your order. Review your Software Order E-mail to determine which release of SAS Web Report Studio is in your order. Then review the topic for the 4.2 or 4.3 release.
For more information about SAS Web Report Studio, see the online Help or the SAS Web Report Studio: User's Guide.
SAS Web Report Studio 4.2 |
A SAS Web Report Studio 3.1 user who had a role of report author might not have the same capabilities after they upgrade to SAS Web Report Studio 4.2. If you no longer have access to a capability in SAS Web Report Studio 4.2, contact your system administrator.
SAS Web Report Studio 4.2 uses the new themes architecture. The themes architecture is also used by other SAS Intelligence Platform clients, such as the SAS Information Delivery Portal and the SAS Web OLAP Viewer for Java. The product-specific method of branding that was available in SAS Web Report Studio 3.1 is no longer supported. Branded areas must be redefined using themes.
For more information, see Administering Web Application Themes in the SAS Intelligence Platform: Web Application Administration Guide.
Parent totals for OLAP reports are now defined as totals that retrieve parent values from the data source. (In SAS Web Report Studio 3.1, parent totals were an aggregation.) The new visual totals are derived from the values that are included in the output.
How relational dates display in line graphs has changed. For example, in SAS Web Report Studio 3.1, lines for two years were overlaid. In SAS Web Report Studio 4.2, the lines appear one before the other.
SAS Web Report Studio 4.3 |
Here are some of the new features in SAS Web Report Studio 4.3:
improved layout for report headers and footers.
enhanced graph features. Skins are available for graphs, so you can change the appearance. A bubble plot has been added.
the ability to view and print comments with the report output.
the ability to copy sections of reports.
the ability to select multiple publication channels when you schedule a report and the ability for multiple users to make multiple schedules for a single report.
