Use this page to perform
these tasks.

choose the SAP R/3 tables that
you want to identify as data sources.

specify a metadata folder location
for the table metadata.
You can also search
the available tables for a specific text string, view the data in
a selected table, and display the table metadata. The navigation selection
that you make on the
Subset
Tables page determines which view is displayed in the
Select
Tables page:
-
an alphabetical tree
that groups tables by the first letter of the table name.
This view is displayed if you selected the Select SAP
Tables By Starting Letter of Table option on the Subset
Tables page. The alphabetical tree view groups tables
according to the first letter of the technical table name. There is
one folder for each letter in the alphabet. There is also an Other folder,
which contains tables that begin with numbers or special characters.
You can expand and collapse the folders associated with each letter
in the alphabet to see all tables with names that begin with that
letter.

an alphabetical list
that lists tables by their technical names. This view
is displayed if you selected the List of All SAP Tables
in Alphabetical Order option. The alphabetical tree view
lists tables according to the first letter of the technical table
name.

a subset of tables
based on user-defined selection criteria This view is
displayed if you selected the
Subset of SAP Tables Based
on Selection Criteria option and then specified your
selection criteria on the
Build Expression (WHERE Clause) page.
Tables are listed in alphabetical order according to table name.
The page contains these
items.
Available Tables
displays either an
alphabetical tree view of tables, an alphabetical list view of tables,
or a subset of tables that meet your selection criteria. In the alphabetical
tree view, you can expand and collapse the folders as needed to locate
the tables that you want. In the alphabetical list view and subset
view, you can scroll to locate the tables that you want, or you can
use the find tools that are available below the
Available
Tables list. You can then select the table that you want
in the
Available Tables list and click

to move it to the
Selected Tables list.
Click

to move all tables. You can use the Shift and Ctrl
keys to select multiple tables.
Selected Tables
displays a list of
tables that you selected from the
Available Tables list.
To remove a table from the
Selected Tables list,
select the table in the
Selected Tables list
and click

. Click

to remove all selected tables.
Location
displays the metadata
folder location for storing table metadata.
The page contains these
buttons.
Find Text
displays the
Search for String dialog
box. You can use it to specify a text string for which to search through
all tables in the
Available Tables list.
If the search string is found, the first table containing that string
is highlighted in the
Available Tables list.
Find Text Again
searches for the next
occurrence of the search string that you specified when you clicked
Find
Text. If the search string is found in any of the tables
listed in the
Available Tables list, the
next table that contains the text is highlighted. This button is disabled
until you specify a search string in the
Search for String dialog
box.
Display Table Metadata
displays the
Displaying Metadata for SAP R/3
Table dialog box. You can use it to view metadata for
a table that you selected in the
Select Tables window.
Table metadata includes such information as field name, field text,
and field format.
Browse
displays a dialog box
for navigating and selecting a metadata folder location for storing
table metadata.
