Use this page (for ODS
Objects) to specify how to extract data from a specified ODS object:
where SAS data sets that contain the extracted SAP BW metadata are
saved, as well as a metadata folder location for the table and job
metadata that the extraction operation creates.
The page (for ODS Objects)
contains these items.
Extraction Options
lets you specify how
to extract data from the ODS object that you specified.
CDC Extraction
lets you specify whether
you want to use change data capture (CDC) processing in the extraction
process. With CDC processing, you can extract only the data that has
changed since your last extraction. Select this check box if you want
to use CDC processing.
Note: This check box is enabled
only if you have already selected all key fields in the specified
ODS source table.
Create as SAS View
lets you specify whether
you want to create a SAS view from the ODS object that you specified.
Select this check box if you want to create a SAS view.
SAS Library
identifies the name
and location of the ODS target library. This is the library where
you want to store the SAS data sets that contain the SAP BW data.
SAP BW data is extracted from the specified ODS object. When ODS objects
are extracted, only one table is extracted and a data set—or
a SAS view, if the Create SAS View check
box is selected—that contains the extracted data is saved in
this library.
ODS target library
identifies the name
of the library where the data that is extracted from the specified
ODS object is saved as SAS data sets or a SAS view.
Directory
identifies the complete
path of the directory that is associated with the ODS target library.
