Use this page to register
the connection parameters so that a SAS server can connect to your
SAP system and access your data.
The page contains these
items.
lets you select an
authentication domain from the drop-down list or by clicking New to register a new domain. The authentication domain
specifies the user ID and password that must be authenticated or verified
to gain access to the SAP system. For more information about authentication
domains, see the Authorization Manager Help in SAS Management Console.
If you choose to define
a new domain, the
New Authentication Domain dialog box displays. Use this dialog box to enter the name and description
of the new authentication domain.
lets you enter the
three-digit client identification number that is associated with the
SAP system to which you are connecting.
lets you specify the
SAP logon language in which to display data for localized variation.
lets you specify which
type of connection you are using to connect to your SAP system:
specifies that you
want to use an SAPGUI logical name to connect to your SAP system.
The SAPGUI logical name applies only in 32-bit Windows operating environments.
The logical name is defined in your SAP system. It is associated with
the SAPLOGON.INI file, which stores all needed login parameters to
log in to your SAP system. Click Options to
specify the logical name that is required for this type of connection.
specifies that you
want to use an application server to connect to your SAP system. Click Options to define the parameters that are required for
this type of connection.
specifies that you
want to use an SAPRFC.INI logical name to connect to your SAP system.
Click Options to define the parameters that
are required for this type of connection.
specifies that you
want to use message servers to connect to your SAP system. Message
servers are used for load balancing servers only. Click Options to define the parameters that are required for
this type of connection.
The window contains
these buttons.
Options (SAPGUI Logical Name)
displays the
SAPGUI Logical Name Options dialog box. You can use it to enter connection parameters that are
needed to connect to your SAP system using an SAPGUI logical name.
Options (Application Server)
displays the
Application Server Options dialog box. You can use it to enter connection parameters that are
needed to connect to your SAP system using an application server.
Options (SAPRFC.INI Logical Name)
displays the
SAPRFC.INI Logical Name Options dialog box. You can use it to enter connection parameters that are
needed to connect to your SAP system using an SAPRFC.INI logical name.
Options (Message Servers)
displays the
Message Servers Options dialog box. You can use it to enter connection parameters that are
needed to connect to your SAP system using message servers.
displays the
Advanced Options dialog
box. You can use it to define whether you want the configured SAP
server to use the trace option, batch mode option, a code page, and
