Use this page to specify
the metadata that you want to pre-extract and to verify the location
of the SAP metadata library. The SAP metadata library is the location
where SAP metadata for the currently selected SAP system is saved.
The pre-extracted metadata is saved in SAS data sets in this library.
You can also use this
page to specify extract options whether you want to exclude structures,
maintenance views, and help views when extracting the SAP metadata.
The page contains these
items.
lets you verify the
SAP metadata library, which is where the SAS data sets are written.
The Metadata Library group box contains these
items.
displays the physical
location of the directory that you defined as the SAP metadata library
in the
SAP Server page.
Merge into Existing Metadata
Because the SAP metadata
library location must not have any data from a previous metadata extraction,
this check box is disabled when you use the SAP R/3 Register
Tables wizard to extract metadata.
Select the type of Metadata to extract
specifies which SAP
metadata you want to extract to SAS data sets and set extract options
for the extraction process. The Select the type of Metadata
to extract group box contains these items.
specifies whether you
want to include table metadata when you extract metadata from your
SAP system.
specifies whether you
want to include field metadata when you extract metadata from your
SAP system.
specifies whether you
want to include metadata about the SAP data models and entities when
you extract metadata from your SAP system.

displays the
Table Ranges to Extract dialog box. You can use this dialog box to limit the SAP tables
that are included in the extraction process. This button is enabled
only if you select the
Tables check box.
displays the
Options dialog box.
You can use this dialog box to specify extract options such as whether
to exclude structures, maintenance views, and help views when you
extract SAP metadata. You can also specify whether you want to extract
field metadata only for the tables for which metadata was already
extracted.
displays the
Extract Selection dialog box. You can use this dialog box to view all metadata selections
and extract options that you specified in the
Metadata
Extraction Parameters window.
