The application server
connection uses the SAP application server name and a system number
to connect to the SAP system.
Follow these steps
to define an application server connection.
-
Select the
Application Server connection type in the
Connection Properties window.
-
Click the
Options button to display the
Application
Server Options dialog box.
-
In the
Application
Server Host field, enter the IP address or host name
of the machine where the SAP application server is running (for example,
hs0311). If a router is associated with the SAP application
server host, you must enter the router string before the SAP application
server name. For example, if the router string is
/H/sapgate1/S/3297/H and the application server is
hs0311,
enter
/H/sapgate1/S/3297/H/hs0311.
-
In the
System
Number field, enter the system number that identifies
which SAP system to access if more than one SAP system resides on
the same host.
-
Click
OK in the
Application Server Options dialog
box to save the application server options and return to the
Connection Properties window.
