Select InfoObjects Page

Use this page in the SAP BW Register Tables wizard to select one or more InfoObjects for the cube, such as its key figures, dimensions, and characteristics. To do this, expand the tree view and select a check box for each item that you want to include in the cube. You must select at least one key figure and one characteristic for each information object.
The page contains these items.
navigation tree
displays a hierarchical navigation tree of the InfoObjects (InfoCube metadata), such as key figures, dimensions, and characteristics.
Key Figures
displays the analysis variables that are defined for the data source.
dimensions
indicates the dimensions that are defined for the data source. These icons identify the InfoCube dimensions:
  • cube icon InfoCube
  • blue block icon characteristics of a dimension
  • blue block icon with red, green and blue arrows dimensions
  • ruler icon individual key figures
  • folder icon key figures (analysis variables)
  • clock icon time characteristics
  • blue block icon with check box background unit characteristics
short name
identifies the descriptive name of the displayed objects. The short name appears with the icon. (No text found) displays with the icon if no short description in the selected language is found in the SAP BW system.
technical name
identifies the technical name of the displayed object. The technical name displays in brackets [] beside the object.
