What's New in SAS Web OLAP Viewer for Java 4.2

Overview

SAS Web OLAP Viewer has the following new features and enhancements:
  • general viewer enhancements
  • enhanced detail data
  • browsing and searching for filters
  • new display options for totals and members

General Viewer Enhancements

The following enhancements are available for the Table viewer and Color-Mapped Table viewer:
  • A new drag-and-drop operation is now supported for moving data items. You can drag data from the Query panel onto a table, and between levels and axes within a table.
  • Data from the table viewers can now be exported as a Microsoft Word document.
  • A new Isolate Member menu item enables you to isolate a specific member of a hierarchy.
  • Context menus in the table viewers are now accessed by a right-click rather than a left-click.
The ESRI map viewer contains a new rectangular selection tool that enables you to subset geographic data by making a rectangular selection.

Enhanced Detail Data

The Detail Data dialog box has the following enhancements:
  • A new export dialog box enables you to export the detailed data table as an external file.
  • A new Column headers drop-down list enables you to select whether the column names or the column labels are displayed in the column headings.

Browsing and Searching for Filters

The Filters dialog box contains new Browse and Search panes. The Browse pane enables you to browse the hierarchy as a tree. The Search pane enables you to search for members within the hierarchy.

New Display Options for Totals and Members

The Totals dialog box contains the following new options:
  • Display specifies the side of the table where totals and subtotals should be displayed.
  • Type specifies whether the totals are based on the source data or on the data that is currently visible.
  • Itemize values across hierarchies specifies whether itemized totals are displayed for each hierarchy member.
A new Show ALL Member option in the Preferences dialog box enables the ALL member to be displayed in your data viewers.
