Conditions for Filters

In SAS Visual Analytics, filters are based on expressions that contain operators. Conditions enable you to easily add the most common operators to your expression. Depending on the type of data that is used by the filter, you can select from the following categories of filter conditions:
Conditions for Character Data
=
Specifies that a matching value must match one of the filter values exactly.
Contains
Specifies that a matching value must contain the filter value.
EndsWith
Specifies that a matching value must contain the filter value at the end of the value.
In
Specifies that a matching value is in the list that you select. To select your list, choose the values from the drop-down list.
Missing
Specifies that a missing value matches the filter.
NotContains
Specifies that a matching value must not contain the filter value.
NotIn
Specifies that a matching value is not in the list that you select. To select your list, choose the values from the drop-down list.
NotMissing
Specifies that a nonmissing value matches the filter.
StartsWith
Specifies that a matching value must contain the filter value at the start of the value.
Conditions for Numeric Data and Date and Time Data
<>
Specifies that a matching value must not be equal to the filter value.
=
Specifies that a matching value must be equal to the filter value.
<
Specifies that a matching value must be less than the filter value.
<=
Specifies that a matching value must be less than or equal to the filter value.
>
Specifies that a matching value must be greater than the filter value.
>=
Specifies that a matching value must be greater than or equal to the filter value.
Between [exclusive]
Specifies that a matching value must be greater than the first filter value and less than the second filter value.
Between [inclusive]
Specifies that a matching value must be greater than or equal to the first filter value and less than or equal to the second filter value.
In
Specifies that a matching value is in the list that you select. To select your list, choose the values from the drop-down list.
Note: This condition is not available for continuous numeric data.
Missing
Specifies that a missing value matches the filter.
NotBetween [exclusive]
Specifies that a matching value must be less than the first filter value or greater than the second filter value.
NotBetween [inclusive]
Specifies that a matching value must be less than or equal to the first filter value or less than or equal to the second filter value.
NotIn
Specifies that a matching value is not in the list that you select. To select your list, choose the values from the drop-down list.
Note: This condition is not available for continuous numeric data.
NotMissing
Specifies that a nonmissing value matches the filter.
