Define Data Items for Text Analytics
-
Specify a
data item as the
unique row identifier for the exploration. You can choose a category, a measure, or a calculated item.
The unique row identifier must have a unique value for each row of the
data source.
Tip
To determine whether the values
of a category are unique, assign the category to a bar chart with
no measures. If the frequency of any value is greater than one, then
the category values are not unique. To determine whether the values
of a measure are unique, open the
Measure Details window,
and then compare the
Total Rows and
Distinct
Count statistics. If the statistics are identical, then
the measure values are unique.
Right-click the data item in the Data pane, and then select Set
as Unique Row Identifier.
Note: A nonunique row identifier
can produce unreliable results.
-
Assign one or more categories
to the
Document Collection data role. Right-click
a category, and then select
Document Collection.
Note: A document collection can
be used in your visualizations the same way a category is used.
