Viewing HDFS System Properties

To view the HDFS system properties:
  1. Click the HDFS tab in the toolbar to access the HDFS content explorer.
  2. Click Properties.
The following table describes the fields:
HDFS System Properties
Property
Description
Command for setting permissions
Specifies the path to the setperm command. This command is used to enable security for files stored in HDFS by setting access permission.
Set permissions as root?
Specifies whether access permissions are enabled. For a SAS Visual Analytics deployment, the value is Yes.
Command for getting file information
Specifies the list command and options. For a SAS Visual Analytics deployment, the value is ls -l {0}.
Data directories
Specifies the directory that is used to store blocks.
NameNode
Specifies the host name of the machine that is used as the SAS High-Performance Deployment of Hadoop NameNode.
Live DataNodes
Dead DataNodes
Specifies the number of SAS High-Performance Deployment of Hadoop DataNodes that are reachable and the number that are not available.
