The following items
provide additional information about starting a server instance:
-
If a server instance is running
and you attempt to start a second server instance using the same server
description file, the second server instance is not started. An error
message is provided to let you know that a server instance might be
running. If you select the
Override if server description
file exists check box and retry, an attempt is made to
stop the server instance that is described in the file, and then the
second server instance is started.
-
If a server instance stops because
it reached its maximum run time, then the server description file
for the server is not removed. In this case, attempting to start the
server again, but not selecting the
Override if server
description file exists check box, results in an error.
