This book covers tasks
that are required after you and your SAS representative have decided
what software you need and on what machines you will install the software.
At this point, you can begin performing some pre-installation tasks,
such as creating operating system user accounts and designating the
ports that you will use during installation.
The phrase SAS installation directory refers to a host path. (The SAS installation directory is sometimes referred to as
SAS Home.) For example, C:\Program
Files\SASHome.
SAS Configuration Directory
The phrase SAS configuration directory refers to a host path that includes a configuration
name and level. For example, C:\SAS\Config\Lev1.
