Introduction to Nonparametric Analysis

Comparing Distributions

To test the hypothesis that two or more groups of observations have identical distributions, use the NPAR1WAY procedure, which provides empirical distribution function (EDF) statistics. The procedure calculates the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, the Cramér-von Mises test, and, when the data are classified into only two samples, the Kuiper test. Exact p-values are available for the two-sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. To obtain these tests, use the EDF option in the PROC NPAR1WAY statement. See Chapter 71: The NPAR1WAY Procedure, for details.
