Running
the SPD Server backup and restore utilities is a privileged operation.
For a user to have access to SPD Server backup and restore utilities,
one of the following must be true:
-
The user ID that starts the SPD
Server session must be identical to the user ID that performs the
SPD Server backup and restore utilities (by definition, the user ID
that starts the SPD Server session is a privileged user).
-
The user has ACLSPECIAL=YES privileges.
To run
the backup and restore utilities remotely using the SAS PROC SPDO
spdscmd. The PROC
SPDO
spdscmd command requires similar access:
either identical user IDs or ACLSPECIAL=YES user privileges. See
Usage Scenarios for
more information about running the SPD Server backup and restore utilities
with PROC SPDO.
Access
to the backup and restore utilities will be given to the special user
"SPDSBKUP". Optional user and password options are available for the
utilities that can be used to give access to a specific privileged
user.
