The concurrent access
capabilities that
SAS/SHARE software adds to SAS give developers opportunities to create applications
that allow their users to have up-to-date data and to be more productive.
Such applications use
SAS in new ways. This paper has discussed areas to be aware of and
ways to trade usage of one resource for another. This information
enables developers of applications that take advantage of concurrently
accessed data to write those applications to use the available computer
resources in the most efficient ways possible.
